Lookout honey, here comes round two of RHONDAVOUS 2012. A big nasty heaping helping of house, disco, and debauchery on an even larger level. Twice the size means twice the party and that means I wanna see ALL of you at once.
This time I’m bringing you yet another amazing lineup of talented people I hold dear to my heart (and squeeze tight in my bosom). The Belgian man that helped us kick off the very first RHONDAVOUS so long ago, AEROPLANE will be coming back to sweep you away on his melodic journey. I will also be reuniting with my longtime New York loverMORGAN GEIST of METRO AREA and STORM QUEEN, who has helped set off many a Rhonda before. On top of that I’ll be bringing to you the men behind OPTIMO, the legendary Glasgow party that shaped the underground dance music scene in Europe the last twenty years. Make no mistake about it, these men have all made huge marks on dance music and will now be leaving their marks all over you too.
With this night also brings us the birthday of our resident ambiance technician and acid house enthusiast, PARADISE, who will be starting off the evening for y’all and ending it with his smiling face buried deep in a fog machine somewhere. Of course we will also have GODDOLLARS, MC RUSSINABOX, and GREGORY ALEXANDER on hand to make sure you’re celebrating in a way I would approve.

Last month marked the last Rhonda of 2011 and the end to an amazing year together and you people lost your minds (and your clothes) appropriately. Bravo. As always I’ve looked back and picked some of my favorite photos, people, outfits, movements, and moments of the past Rhonda to reward with the coveted Golden Achievers award. Well, we made it everybody, it’s now the year 2012 and regardless of whether or not you believe the apocalypse is coming the new year provides us with fresh opportunities to reach Dionysian divinity. With every new year I feel it is my duty to take things even further, to strive for more, always higher and higher, and it is with that in mind that I wanted to start things off RIGHT in January; so cancel all plans surrounding January 13th and begin your preparations forRHONDAVOUS.
This month I bring to you some of the best in the business, men that have been an integral part in the formation of house music, legends, idols, and my personal friends KENNY DOPE and MK.
You may know Kenny Dope from a little group called MASTERS AT WORK (a.k.a. NUYORICAN SOUL) or from his other work as THE BUCKETHEADS. This man was a major part of my and so many other party people’s lives in New York, and has been labeled one of America’s most important contemporary producers. I am beyond ecstatic to bring him to the Rhonda stage to turn you all out.
MK (Marc Kinchen) is a legendary producer who pioneered the early techno scene on the east coast and is possibly best known in the house music world for his work on with NIGHTCRAWLERS. You may also remember that last year he lent a hand in the production of “Return To Me,” the first release off my labelRhonda International. MK and I have been trying to get reunited for a while now and I just can’t wait to have him as RHONDAVOUS marks his FIRST EVER “MK” DJ set in Los Angeles.
Of course my in house team of party purveyors GODDOLLARS, PARADISE, MC RUSSINABOX, and GREGORY ALEXANDER will be going full blast as well. Making you scream, shout, and sweat.

Damn, 2011 was a major year for me. I did my first Coachella party, went on my first American tour, released my first record, and grew so much I had to move venues. Not to mention all the insane drinking, dancing and general debauchery along the way. It’s hard to pinpoint (let alone remember) exact moments throughout this insane year so I turned to my team and my fans to hear what their favorite 2011 moments at Rhonda were, and to go along with this short collection of memories I’ve also picked a few of my favorite photos. So settle in with a cup of whatever it is you’re drinking at this hour and take a stroll down memory lane with me.

You can’t get the full experience of Rhondavous without actually going, but you can get small two dimensional glimpses into the deepness thanks to modern technology and the people that use them to record visceral experiences. Once such person is Glen Han, who has recorded many a video of Rhonda before, and this time adds four videos of Rhondavous through his eyes. If you were there then watch and recover some memories, and if you weren’t then have a look at what you missed out on and make sure not to be marked absent for the next.
